GENERAL HOME INSPECTION
Our residential property inspection is a comprehensive visual evaluation of most readily accessible areas of a home. Each inspection is followed with a next-day digital report that will explore the nature of any findings. We’ll also leave you with a home maintenance book that can be referenced for the regularly scheduled upkeep of your living space.
Inspected areas include:
- Structural Components
- Exterior (cladding, doors, windows, soffits, fascias)
- Foundation & Crawl Space
- Grading & Drainage
- Attached Garage
- Attic, Ventilation, & Insulation
- Attached Decks
- Interior (doors, windows, floors, walls, ceilings, stairs)
- Built-in Appliances
- HVAC Systems
- Plumbing System
- Electrical System
- Fireplace & Chimney
In addition to our general home inspection, we’re proud to offer these additional services:
Before you put your home on the market, it’s a good idea to have it looked at by a professional inspector. A Pre-Listing Inspection will illuminate the condition of your home so that you have a better understanding of its value, as well as giving you an opportunity to correct any issues before you sell. This helps to promote a smoother negotiating process when a buyer’s inspection reveals no major defects.
11th Month Inspection
Most newly constructed homes are backed by a 1-year warranty from the builder. Before that window has closed, we recommend having your home inspected to determine if any issues have emerged since your move-in. Depending on the terms of your warranty and the nature of the defective component, you could potentially save yourself from having to pay for the repairwork out of your own pocket.
Home Maintenance Inspection
A Home Maintenance Inspection is recommended every 5-10 years for any home. SP Home Inspections will evaluate the readily accessible areas of your property to determine if any components are defective or in need of upkeep. After the inspection, we’ll also take the time to discuss appropriate courses of action to resolve any issues, and we’ll leave you with a Home Maintenance Manual to refer to in the future.
