(757) 240-9407This policy describes what SurePoint Home Inspections LLC collects through this website, what we do with it, and who else can see it. It covers the website only. Information you give us during an inspection, and the report itself, are handled under the written agreement you sign before the inspection.
We are a two-person-scale business in Fort Myers, Florida. We are not an advertising company and we do not make money from data. Everything below is a description of an ordinary small business, not a disclaimer written to create room to do something else.
Every form on this site asks for the same things, and we use them for one purpose: to call you back and quote your inspection.
You can also just call us, in which case we have whatever you tell us on the phone and your number from caller ID.
When a form is submitted, our website software records the date and time, the page you submitted from, your browser's user-agent string, and your IP address. This is standard spam-prevention and record-keeping, and it is stored with the submission.
Our web host keeps ordinary server logs. Like any website, this one is served over the public internet and the request necessarily includes your IP address.
We do not use what you submit here to market unrelated products, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.
We do not sell your personal information. We never have and the business has no reason to.
Categories of third parties who may handle it in the course of doing their job for us:
Your report belongs to you. We do not hand it to a buyer, a seller, an agent or anyone else without your say-so.
We would rather tell you exactly what runs on this site than give you a generic paragraph.
Several pages embed a Google map. That embed is served by Google, and loading it means your browser contacts Google directly. Google may set cookies and may collect information about that request under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
We may use a basic website analytics tool to see which pages people read and how they found the site. If so, it is configured for aggregate traffic measurement, not to build a profile of you.
If that changes, this section changes with it. Florida treats the interception of electronic communications seriously, and we would rather run a plain website than quietly add tools that watch you use it.
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed industry standard for what a website should do when it receives one, and this website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We do not track you across other websites regardless of whether you send one.
Third parties whose content is embedded here, such as Google Maps, may collect information about your activity across different websites over time. That is their behavior, not ours, and their own policies govern it.
This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work — keeping the site functioning correctly and preventing form spam. Embedded Google maps may set their own. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though embedded maps may not display.
Form submissions and inspection records are kept while the business relationship is live and afterward for as long as we may reasonably need them — for our own records, for tax purposes, and because a question about an inspection can arrive well after the inspection. Inquiries that never became a booking are kept for a shorter period and then deleted.
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to form submissions and to our email is limited to the people who run the business. We keep software current.
We are not going to tell you our security is perfect, because nobody can honestly say that about anything connected to the internet. What we can say is that we collect very little, we do not share it, and there is no commercial reason for it to go anywhere.
You do not need a statute to ask us for this, and we are not going to make you cite one. Call or email and we will tell you what we have, correct anything wrong, or delete it.
Two honest limits. We may need to keep records connected to an inspection we actually performed, for the reasons in section 8. And we will take reasonable steps to confirm you are who you say you are before handing over or deleting anything — which protects you more than it protects us.

If you give us your phone number through this website or on a call, you are asking us to contact you about your inspection request, and we will call you back — a real person, dialing the number. We do not use automated dialing systems and we do not send prerecorded messages.
We may send you an ordinary text message about scheduling if that is easier for you. If you ever want us to stop calling or texting, say so, or reply STOP to a text, and we will stop. We keep our own do-not-contact list and we honor it.
Email we send you is about your inspection — confirming the appointment, delivering the report, answering a question. We do not run a marketing newsletter. If we ever start one, it will be something you opt into, and every message will have a working unsubscribe link.
Where this site links somewhere else — a county flood map, a state licensing lookup, an insurance regulator — that site has its own privacy policy and we have no control over it.
If we change this policy we will post the revised version here and update the effective date at the top of the page. If a change is significant — if we started collecting something new or sharing it with someone new — we will say so plainly at the top of this page rather than quietly editing a paragraph.
